What works offline?
After setting up your local vault, you can create, read and search memories offline. Text and imported media stay on your device.
Purchases and purchase verification require a connection. Opening support or another website also uses the network. ‘Local-first’ does not mean every action is offline.
A simple way to begin
You can record one ordinary moment without keeping a daily writing streak. A sentence or a short voice note is enough.
- Set up the vault using the device authentication supported by your phone.
- Write a memory and add media only if it helps tell the story.
- Group it with a person or collection when useful.
- Create a password-encrypted export and keep a safe copy outside the app.
Privacy and recovery are different things
Memonori does not keep a developer-held copy of your memories and does not automatically synchronise them to a memory cloud. Losing your device or deleting the app can mean losing the local vault if you have no usable backup.
To restore memories, you need the encrypted export and its password. A forgotten backup password cannot be recovered by support. Restore Purchases restores store access, not your memories.
What happens when access ends?
The one-time 14-day local trial does not auto-renew. Optional monthly or yearly subscriptions provide creation and editing access. Existing content remains readable, searchable and exportable when Full Access ends.
